UNDER FLOOR HEATING
What Is Distribution Manifold
is a metallic unit
(usually made of copper, stainless steel, or nickel-plated brass)
consisting of two main parallel pipes:
1. Flow pipe: supplies hot water coming from the boiler.
2. Return pipe: collects the cooled water returning from the heating loops.
From these two pipes, several branch circuits are connected to different rooms or heating zones.
How does it work?
1. Distributes hot water from the boiler evenly to all heating circuits.
2. Collects return water from each circuit and sends it back to the boiler.
3. Allows individual control of each circuit through valves.
4. Can include flow meters to monitor the water flow in each loop (essential for underfloor heating).
5. Supports electric actuators to enable automatic zone control via thermostats in each room.
